Bachelor Degree Program in Clinical Medicine (Taught in English) for International Students (MBBS) is a program that draws on JLU’s advantageous resources of in the field of medicine. It was set based on World Health Organization (WHO)’s international standards of medical education. Over the 20 years, it has cultivated over 1,000 graduates from 62 countries.
After nearly two decades of efforts, the MBBS program has formed a perfect cultivation system and taken active measures to develop excellent English teaching faculty that teach in English, thus gradually improving the quality of its cultivation. For example, it has introduced many overseas experts and scholars, carried out a distance medical education program with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, USA, and opened a English-taught continuing multidisciplinary medical education program. Also, it actively promoted the reform of examination methods, implemented “objective structured clinical examination”, and worked to align its curriculum with medical education in USA and other developed countries. All these efforts have achieved good results and helped cultivate numerous outstanding medical professionals.
