On November 9th and November 16th afternoons, the College of Basic Medical Sciences jointly with the Physical Education College's Quality Enhancement and Ideological Education Club held the “Ice-breaking” activity and the head teacher meeting for the 2025-level MBBS international students coming to China to enhance their qualities at Song Zhiping Indoor Track and Field Stadium. Li Dongyang, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Basic Medical Sciences of Jilin University, Cui Jiacheng, Qi Mingran, Liu Mo, the international student counselor of the College of Basic Medical Sciences, all the staff of the International Student Office, members of the Quality Enhancement and Ideological Education Club of the Physical Education College, and the 2025-level MBBS international students participated in the event.

Before the event began, the host introduced the content and significance of the event, encouraging everyone to actively participate and promoting the mutual acquaintance between new students and their head teachers. At the same time, it aimed to enhance communication among students and deepen friendship, strengthen bonds, and create a positive organizational atmosphere. During the event, the students first carried out warm-up activities, such as doing warm-up exercises and forming groups by calling out numbers, to fully stimulate their enthusiasm.

The event began in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. First, the students quickly gathered and formed four teams. They jointly conceived and splendidly presented their unique team names and their meanings, with creative ideas and abundant energy. The students quickly got to know each other, and the atmosphere on the spot was lively, further enhancing the cohesion of the team.
The subsequent scoring competition section pushed the event to its climax. "Journey of the Beads" - the team members connected their semi-circular ball slots and continuously transmitted the ball to the next teammate's ball slot until it reached the designated small bucket; "Back-to-Back Ball Relay" - each pair of teammates held the ball behind their backs and ran through the finish line, passing the ball to the next pair of teammates, and continuing the relay; "Super Shot" - each team member held a yoga ball and started from the starting point, dribbled the ball to the target bucket, then threw the ball into the inflated basket, and immediately returned to the starting point to pass the ball to the next teammate for the relay. The slogans were heard one after another on the field, and the encouragement and cheering from the sidelines continued. The team members worked together with great coordination, and the students learned from their failures, constantly adjusting and improving their methods and approaches, demonstrating a good team spirit and an energetic competitive state.

The competition featured both intense confrontations and moments of warm mutual assistance, fully demonstrating the talents of the international students from the Basic Medical College. After multiple rounds of fierce competition, the winning team was determined based on the scores, and a series of Jilin University cultural and creative prizes were awarded. At the same time, each participant received a certificate for being an outstanding camper in the quality expansion "ice-breaking" activity. While the students received honors, they also felt the warmth and care of the college.
At the end of the event, the counselor of the Basic Medical College, Liu Mo, summarized the activity, fully praising the teamwork spirit of the students and setting higher requirements for their future studies and lives. He hoped that the students would be sincere and united, cooperate with each other, continuously improve themselves in the face of challenges, and let their youth shine brightly.

This activity integrates the meeting between teachers and students with quality development, enriching students' after-school life. It also brings students and teachers closer in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, enhancing teamwork and communication skills, and strengthening the cohesion and unity of the class. We believe that this activity will inspire the 2025 graduating students to face challenges with a more positive attitude, overcome difficulties through closer teamwork, and pursue their dreams with a firmer belief in their future studies and research.
