To ensure high-quality teaching of 《Medical Language》and《Behavior Medicine》 for international students on the MBBS program in the 2026 spring semester and strengthen cross-hospital collaboration among faculty, the teaching teams for 《Medical Language》and《Behavior Medicine》at the Second Hospital of Jilin University held a collective lesson preparation meeting via Tencent Meeting on March 19. More than 30 key teachers from the History Taking Teaching and Research Sections of the First, Second and Third Hospitals of Jilin University attended the meeting. The session was chaired by Chen Peng, Director of the Clinical Foreign Language Teaching and Research Section at the Second Hospital of Jilin University and overall course director of《Medical Language》and《Behavior Medicine》for international student education at Jilin University.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chen Peng systematically deployed the teaching tasks for the spring semester in accordance with the core requirements of the syllabi for《Medical Language》and《Behavior Medicine》. She emphasized that three priorities should be implemented in teaching: the integration of teaching methods, empowerment by information technology, and alignment of assessment orientation, aiming to deliver course knowledge to students in a vivid and intuitive manner.

Teacher Wang Wanning, person in charge of《Medical Language》for international student education at the First Hospital of Jilin University; Teacher Wang Xiaowei, person in charge of《Medical Language》for international student education at the Third Hospital of Jilin University; Teacher Zheng Yan, person in charge of《Behavior Medicine》for international student education at the First Hospital of Jilin University; and Director Zhang Qiang from the Clinical Foreign Language Teaching and Research Section at the First Hospital of Jilin University shared their teaching experience. They stressed that teaching should focus on both medical knowledge instruction and language training, recommending more repetition and dialogue practice in class, as well as enhanced teacher-student and student-student interaction to boost classroom engagement. In addition, teachers including Wang Zhenyu, Ma Zhiyong, Jiang Ziping and Zhao Yao from the First Hospital of Jilin University, and Liu Zhigang, Zhu Cuilin, Jin Shengyu, Wang Shu and Li Zhuoxuan from the Second Hospital of Jilin University held in-depth discussions on improving teaching skills and addressing cultural differences, stating that they had benefited greatly from the exchange.

Teacher Li Yangxue, teaching secretary of《Medical Language》for international student education, and Teacher Wang Ling, teaching secretary of《Behavior Medicine》at the Second Hospital of Jilin University, elaborated on teaching assignments, course schedules, assessment methods and material preparation respectively, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of teaching in the new semester.
The meeting further clarified the teaching direction of the two courses for the 2026 spring semester, established a communication platform for cross-hospital teachers, and provided strong support for the high-quality development of clinical teaching for international students studying in China.
